The After

from Light Years by And Beyond

/

about

Everything going on around you is beyond your control. People blindly devoted to a system, religion or anything that has control over them with no answer of their own to escape.

Dawn of existence is a birth and we are headed in a direction to the edge of twilight. Twilight is a solace for dreamers, dreamers are the artists. Artists thrive in pain and dark times (the night).

Lead without hesitation. The sheep that follow the herd and become voluntary soldiers for something that doesn't benefit them, but gain false empowerment from it.

Don't ask why. A cycle of desolation. A sense of niavity to not ask questions and believe normal conventions of life are all that matters. Passing this empty way of living onto future generations while ignoring founding cultures that were destroyed to uphold this hollow existence.

Just fall in line.

We are The After, the ones that survived the destruction of an old system. Created by disaster like a phoenix rising where beauty was made from destruction and pain.

We will find a way to bring these shadows into light. The darkness will come to light for everyone to see. Exposed, wide open. The truth we seek in ourselves is finally here.

lyrics

Intro:
Woah
Woah

Verse 1:
Who set this in motion can you
Shut it down
Blind in devotion yet still
Nothing found

Chorus:
Dawn of existence we are headed out
And we're pushing to the edge of twilight
A solace for dreamers in the night (and we are, and we are)
and we're searching for light

And what are we after?
Can we face the depth of silence?
All that we never got to say
Just fades away

Woah
Woah

Verse 2:
Lead without hesitation
Don't ask why
A cycle of desolation
Fall in line

(Chorus)

Bridge:
We are the after
created by disaster
(x2)

Dawn of existence (existence)
Pushing to the edge of twilight
A solace for dreamers in the night (the night)
Searching for light
And what are we after? (we after)
Can we face the depth of silence?
All that we never got to say (to say)
Just fades away

Woah
Woah

We will find a way to
bring these shadows into light

(chorus)

Woah
